CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012 Honda Accord has a solid reputation (so far), with one very significant flaw: uncomfortable seats.

Owners have consistently reported uncomfortable seats with the entire 8th generation (2008-2012) of Honda Accords. Complaints range from back pain to leg circulation problems due to bad lumbar support, cushioning, & seat angle. Complaints aren't limited to only a certain body type -- the seat comfort problems are from a wide spectrum of owner height & weight.

The common theme we hear is "we never noticed this during the test drive." Unfortunately for unwary buyers, the seat pain is noticeable after 15-20 minutes.

Left front & rear door molding was cracked & breaking off along bottom of windows. Replaced by dealer with OEM molding (cost $331) on 10/14/16. Less than 2 yrs later (9/28/18), rubber seal along bottom of these same 2 doors is cracked again & over 1/2 of rubber strip along bottom driver window appears melted (squishy to touch) & fell off driver's door resulting in water leaking into door. See separate report for current recurrence. No prob with right side molding (or sun roof molding that gets same amount of sun daily) & never had this prob w/2 previous Honda vehicles (Civic & Accord) parked in exact location for last 20 yrs. Surely this is defective part issue!

Awaiting return call from dealer service department to ask what recourse we may have since I imagine they will say this is not covered by replacement part warranty.

May be time to move on from Honda as this is ridiculous!
