The driver side door locks have faulty actuator pumps. The doors will lock and unlock at inappropriate times and the passenger side door lock will initially lock and then unlock while the car is in motion. We're getting the door locks fixed out of pocket, but this level of failure seems unreasonable for the age and condition of this car. Honda needs to assist with repairs and/or help owners pay for the fix.

The power switches on doors are easy to fail. The actuator failed and the door is getting 'locked' itself which could be an issue if child is left in the car with key. I got the first incident of this issue on my passenger - right door about 6 months ago and now got the same issue on door in driver seat.

My door locks (all of them) would not stay unlocked longer than 2-3 seconds when I want to leave the vehicle. I have carefully coordinate pressing the unlock button on my key with actually opening the door. If I am not quick enough, I must repeat the action. This very clearly looks like a safety issue. And by now Honda knows this is not an isolated case. Will it require a minimum number of deaths or injuries because the occupant can't get out of the vehicle in time in case of an accident or fire, etc. ?? the cost for the replacement of the actuators should not be borne by the owners. ( up to 4 @ $400 each).

My grandson went to get out of the passenger front side of car. It would not unlock. He had to climb over to the driver seat to get out. The next day I went to open the trunk and it was lock. I do a lot of picking up of my grandchildren and I'm afraid that they will get stuck in the event of an accident. What a shame to have to worry about this and the cost I will have to incur.

From August 2013, right front door started to lock by itself right after I unlock it. Several weeks later, the right rear door started to keep locking itself with very loud noise when the speed of car reaches 20~30 miles/hour. It was very annoying and I fixed the car, which cost me over $300. However, now the left rear door started to keep locking whenever the car reaches to the speed of 20~30 miles/hour.

For the last 2 years my 2007 CR-V has had issues with electric door-lock operation 1)the passenger door does not unlock. Unlocking all doors via drivers side or key fob momentarily opens the passenger lock " it then automatically locks again in 2-4 seconds. This is a safety issue as the passenger cannot get out in the event of an emergency. Door handle operation does not over-ride the lock " and the 2-4 second window electronically unlocking is difficult to synchronize handle operation in the best of circumstance. 2)in addition, all door locks continuously lock"lock?.lock when driving forward @ approximately 8-10km/hour. I am the original owner. There are many similar complaints " I see ~ 105 at

  • 59,943 miles
In the last two weeks, suddenly the door locks won't remain open after opening with key fob. The door locks will open for a second or two, but then automatically return to the locked position. Appears to be an electro-mechanical malfunction with the electronics and locking actuators. This occurs on all doors (front and rear, including tailgate door), in all scenarios (engine running; engine not running; door open; door shut; key in ignition; key out of ignition). In addition, the door lock/unlock buttons on the door panel will not unlock's like the door lock button is stuck in the locked position. It takes a great amount of force to unlock the button, but then it automatically returns to the locked position. Have been unable to locate source of problem. This is a real safety issue!

The left passenger door lock will not lock at all. The right passenger door lock will not unlock 80% of the time. All four door locks randomly lock and unlock while the vehicle is moving. Sometimes if the button is pushed to unlock the doors, the locks will 'process' and sound like a machine gun as they go on and off for several seconds in a row. My child has opened the left passenger door (even though the child lock was engaged) while the vehicle was moving. The vehicle cannot be secured when left unattended because the doors do not stay locked, thus placing it at additional risk to be stolen. The locks are a huge safety concern to my family. After researching this on the web, it appears that numerous 2007 Honda CR-V's have this same issue.

Front driver door is locked and can't open from inside using remote or manually. Climbed over to the passenger door and tried to open the driver door from outside also unable to do so. I brought the car the dealer who informed me that this was caused by a faulty door lock actuator defect. The defect poses a safety risk since the door locking and unlocking features fail to operate correctly. Upon research on the internet, many CRV owners experience the same problem for CRV 2007-2010. Honda is aware of this problem and have neither recall or cover it under warranty.
