CarComplaints.com Notes: So far the 2011 Elantra doesn't have the same volume of transmission problems that 2010 owners are fighting with. It also doesn't have the same pattern of steering and braking complaints that are piling up with the 2013 model year.

We're not saying the 2011 is perfect -- I mean, what were they thinking advertising their MPGs -- but there are worse choices.

I have a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited and I have never used the back seat of the car for passengers. All of the rear seatbelts are torn from where they enter the seatbelt return. And would fail inspection. Each belt it torn in the same place on the same side of the belt. They look to be cut from the seatbelt return it's self or where it hits the trim entering the return. Again I have never had passengers in the backseat of my vehicle nor have I used the seatbelts for other purposes like holding something in place. I feel it is the responsibility of the manufacturer to replace safety items especially seeing as this could cause bodily injury, death, and other issues due to this issue. I do not feel I should have to pay to replace these. Its anywhere for $50 to $100 dollars on ebay for new and use seatbelts and on the oem sites $400 plus dollars. I wish Hyundai would recall this issue. Like they have with so many other issues with this vehicle. I will probably call Hyundai and complain there as well.
