Notes: The 2005 Nissan Altima has two fairly significant problems with the floor pan rusting through & motor mounts breaking.

Altima owners report that up to a basketball-size hole develops under the floor mats where the floor pan metal rusts through. Average repair cost is over $1,000.

The broken motor mounts are less of a problem - they break at ~75,000 miles average & it's $400 to fix. Still, motor mounts should not break!

My head gasket blew, immediately after repairing my valve cover gasket.

Altima LS 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

The Manifold was cracked because of the defected motor mounts. Had to take off work and pay for the the expenses. Noticed a loud sound, talk to other people who owned a nissan altima and found out that they were experiencing the same thing. It was $400.00 for the Manifold and labor.

Altima LS 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

Had to replace the manifold not knowing at the time that the right side motor mount was defected and caused the cracking of the manifold. Had to take time off work and had unexpected expenses. The car is still louder than usual. Hopefully, there are not any other defects that should be recalled. This was very inconvenient and can become expensive and time consuming. Have the receipts and other documentations to prove it.

Altima S 2.5

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

this is getting ridiculous, and since the problems are not the same each time they will not replace the vehicle even though it is obviously a lemon.
