Altima brakes really loud on one side (driver). Had pads checked they were fine, fluid fine, rotors unknown. The problem is definitely worse the longer the drive. Literally the most annoying and embarrassing thing to deal with. Vehicle has also recently started having problems braking but not on a consistent basis, its a really random occurrence like maybe happens 3 times one week and goes away for a month.

We did not hear the squeaky brakes when we test drove it 2 times. We heard it in the next few days driving it away from CarMax and then for the next 2 years and still hear it. We think they squeak more when it is warm, but not sure. We have had 3 auto shops and the Dealer even replaced the entire brake pads, callipers and routers, but it didn't help. I am glad for honest auto mechanics who didn't replace them just because they squeaked and I told them they were bad. I wish there was a solution, but I think it's just an issue with the 2012 Nissan Altima (like the CVT is - in another post).

I am really annoyed that I bought a brand new 2012 Nissan Altima in 2012. A few weeks after I drove the car off the lot the brakes began to squeek and continue to squeek no matter what the weather is. I have taken my vehicle regularly to the mechanic for all maintenace check-ups and I'm told there is nothing wrong with the brakes and that all the 2011 and 2012's have squeeky brakes. I would like for Nissan to fix this problem free of charge.
