The airbag light won't turn off. I'm unsure which airbag, but from what I understand the light on means airbags won't deploy correctly in the event of an accident. It started on 12/13/20 and has continued throughout 12/14/20. The light stays on regardless of what position it's in. Parked, turning, driving, etc.
The passenger's airbag off light is on while having an adult passenger on the seat eighter the car is moving or is parked. Meaning the passenger's airbag is not working
For several months the passenger side airbag indicator light has been working intermittently. Sometimes the light shows unoccupied when an adult is sitting in the passengers seat. I don't know if the airbag is working properly or not. I took my vehicle into the Nissan dealer in leesburg, fl last week for routine service and told them about the problem. They performed a diagnostic test and did not find any fault codes. They then got in and out of the seat several times and said the airbag light displayed properly. The next day with an adult passenger in the seat the light again showed unoccupied. Why hasn't there been a recall regarding this problem.
The system that determines whether the passenger airbag will deploy on my vehicle is not functioning and is defaulting the airbag to not deploy. I took the vehicle to my dealer for a quote and was told it will cost up to $1,800 to fix. I know there has been at least one recall pertaining to this system already (recall number 15V681000). I also asked if there was a way to have the airbag always set to deploy but was told that was not possible. An $1,800 fix for a critical safety feature is a hazard that will drive people to accept undue risk. A recall for affected Nissan vehicles to replace the system or which would default the airbags to deploy would mitigate the risk to the population.
Passenger airbag light is on even when someone is in the seat now the one on the dashboard is staying on no codes coming up on computer this is happening when car is in motion and stationary tried resetting light is still
The driver side airbag is lit when starting and remains lit while driving. My concern is the airbag will deploy on it's own without impact or possible will not deploy upon impact.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that the air bag sensor warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who reset the sensor several times. The failure recurred. The contact called the faulkner Nissan mechanicsburg located at 6627 carlisle pike, mechanicsburg, pa 17050, where a diagnostic test was performed however, the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
The contact owned a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while stopped she was rear ended by another vehicle driving at approximately 40 mph, as a result she was pushed into the rear of the vehicle stopped in front of her. The contact stated that no air bags deployed. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact sustained muscle strain, leg and neck injuries while the passenger sustained back and neck injuries that required medical attention. The contact also stated that the occupants of the other vehicle also sustained injuries however, she was unaware of their injuries. A police report was filed. The insurance adjuster deemed the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle was towed to an independent auto body facility. The contact stated no local dealer was contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The contact was concerned as she researched on-line and found several recalls that involved the air bags not deploying however her VIN was not included in the recalls. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
Passenger air light is on and won't go off. I was told that there is no recall for the airbag. I haven't had no accident, but if this should happen and the passenger air bag doesn't work. Look out Nissan. You'll needs to recall these airbags. I see nearly 700 complaint.
I had an airbag light come on recently. My Nissan dealer said there was something wrong with the side airbag which is built into the driver's seat and would require the back portion of the driver's seat to be replaced. This is a 2014 Altima with less than 30K miles on it already having an airbag fault out of nowhere with no accident. It concerns me that I am having to foot a $1600 bill to fix a piece of safety equipment that the manufacture seems to have poorly made.
Airbag light came on and the error code was B0020, which is the drivers side, they reset at the dealer. It came back on a week later and I took it back. They told me they checked the wires and it all looked fine. They don't know if the airbag will deploy if in an accident so I need to replace it and it will cost $1000. They also sold me the car in April and in may the light came on. Very annoyed by this.
Passenger airbag light indicator & passenger airbag on/off indicator remains on even when a passenger is seated in the front seat. I think this is a safety issue because the airbag will not deploy from an impact as needed. Request any assistance with this related safety issue. Thank you
