The steering feels like it is stiff while driving, not serious I hope, but really worrisome for sure.

Ever since I have owned this car the power steering is hard to turn, the PS indicator light comes on and it is a loud pitch whine. The mechanic has replaced the power steering pump twice with the same problem. In my opinion Nissan should recall this issue since it has many similar complaint. If this is not fixed I will never buy another Altima again or recommend to anybody else. I was a previous Toyota Camry owner and will go back if not taken care of

I noticed one evening driving home while turning my car to the left, my steering wheel would tightened. In addition, when I would brake and making a left turn, the steering wheel would tightened. I noticed that next day the problem was getting more intense. I did not feel comfortable and was afraid that my steering wheel function will fail and I would get into an accident.

I immediately took it back to the dealership. I purchased the car in December 2015. The service representative asked if he could drive it and I accompanied him. He immediately notice as we were pulling out of the hub the problem. He drove in around the building and commented that he definitely could feel the problem. They have put me in a rental and to date, the car is not ready. I called yesterday, Monday, Feb. 8th, to inquire about the car and the service rep assured me that they are not going to return my car until they can guarantee that I will not have to bring it back in for the same problem. I really like this dealership and this is my fourth Nissan with them.

I am waiting to see the outcome. Will post an update.

Update from Mar 7, 2016: I wanted to let you all know that the Nissan dealership fixed my car and I have not had any problems. I was even paranoid after it was fixed and asked the salesman to let me test drive another car like mine to make sure there was a difference. The salesman complied and I felt better that I was able to compare.

I am happy with my car.
