A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

A few months ago I was crossing and intersection, pressed the gas and nothing happened. I took my foot off and pressed again, nothing happened. As the honking commenced, I began to shake my head and regret ever getting this car because of the litany of issues. I tried one more time before I put on my flashers and it jerked hard then went. Since then it has happened maybe 7 times. I know I can take my foot off the gas count to 5 then press it again and it then works, but in the last 2 rounds that has not worked as well as before. I have not taken it to the dealership becuase it is just one depressing interaction after another there. Visors broke , that will be $575 ( nope bought them online and did it myself for $160), Door handle broke, that will be $325 ( nope $15 from Amazon and a you tube video), Remaining 3 door handles ( $15 each Amazon) , Motor on back hatch ( cant recall cost but I did it myself) . I did have to get a mechanic to replace the engine fan when the bearings went bad. After doing some internet research on this super common gas pedal issue, I am under the impression if I go to the dealership they will tell me the computer has an issue ( simply becuase it is not generating an issue) and hit me up for $2400 ish , and achieve zero ... I hate this car. It was designed amazing, but the materials were apparently sourced from some back alley in a 3rd world country.

Pathfinder S 3.5L V6

  • CVT transmission
  • 22,000 miles

2013 Nissan Pathfinder, 3.5L v6 with about 22,000 miles, we have been experiencing what I call a serious safety concern!! We have been loosing power, acceleration while driving. Whether it just starting to take off or getting on the on ramp to merge unto the freeway, this is a very serious concern, We run a risk of getting rear ended due to the fact that we can't accelerate. This has happened about 5 times already. Vehicle doesn't shut off, but it doesn't accelerate, RPM's don't move. I have moved shifter to neutral and RPM's move, go back into drive and nothing.

All the times that this has happened we coasted to the next red light or pulled over on the highway, until finally the car goes. No check engine light comes, so obviously there is no error codes. Took vehicle to Mossy Nissan in El Cajon, and they checked it out, but without no error codes they cant really do anything. I understand that if the vehicle doesn't detect anything wrong, the mechanics don't know what to fix but from what I have been reading, I'm not the only one that is having these issues!! These complaints go across the country, not just 1 or 2, but hundreds.

This is my first complaint about this issue, so I don't know what to do. Just hope that if it happens again that hopefully I can get a check engine light come on. This to me, is a SAFETY ISSUE!!! and Nissan should be aware of this and hopefully comes out with a solution before someone gets seriously hurt and then Nissan is going to have a huge lawsuit on there hands!! Nissan USA please be aware that not just one person is complaining about this issue!!

I report a problem of my car (Pathfinder Model 2013) to Nissan workshop in Abudhabi-UAE during 25000 K service but no action done to solve it, again I reported the same problem during 30000K service and the car is laying with the workshop for 3 days with no action.

It is very poor and unacceptable performance.

Problem still not solve and I'm forced to highlighted to Nissan international.
