CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2014 has a small, but significant number of transmission complaints at low mileage. The issue is part of a class-action lawsuit that says the Pathfinder's transmission shakes violently during acceleration between 15mph and 30mph.
A few weeks ago while closing the lift gate I heard a snap and thought something got caught under the door/trunk. When I tried to open the hatch the lift gate bar was hanging and that's when I noticed all the corrosion. I went directly to the dealership (unable to close hatch). Come to find out to have each bar replaced is $1000. I called Nissan Canada and they told me that would only be covered under the 60,000km warranty. I can't imagine that should happen on a vehicle with less then 60,000km. I did find a recall for the Rogue for a similar problem. Nissan Canada says they haven't seen/heard of enough Pathfinders having this problem. I'm totally disappointed with the response from Nissan Canada. This isn't the first problem I've had with this vehicle.
