Got a letter from Toyota last June, I believe, saying nobody should sit in front passenger seat as air bag could hurt or kill them. Well that's pretty serious. Nothing since. I even emailed them asking if it is still a concern and they gave me the polite canned response basically saying they have no clue, so I guess I'm supposed to enjoy my four seater car that thought thought was a five seater when I bought it. A little inconvenience for a month or 2 or maybe a bit more is understandable, but we are close to a year now with no resolution in sight. As long as their asses are covered I guess that is what really matters. Plus, what about selling my car? It's soon going to be time. Who wants to buy a car that they know may kill them with a rogue airbag? No more Toyotas for our family after the Mtrix and my wife's Rav are both dead...if they don't kill us first, or if we don't die waiting for an answer.
By the way, Toyota appreciates my patience and thanks me for putting up with their BS incompetence and "who gives a crap about older cars?" attitude.
