I am very very disappointed to see a Toyota product with less than 60,000 miles, have this leaking water pump. I am the proud owner of three Toyota vehicles in the past. Toyota made cars in the 1980s with excellent parts. I just can't believe I had to replace a water pump so soon.

water pump leaking

The second water pump starts to leak (coolant sips through the weeping hole on the pully shaft of the pump). This pump was replaced two years ago. And now, I'll need another one. This is amazing!!! Toyota has used trashy parts on these cars.

The Service Dept. in Libertyville Toyota of Illinois should be shamed about their lack of knowledge and insight to see the splatter of the coolant on the pullys and the a/c holes and the neck of the radiator (see splatter on the right side of raditor in the photo) as signs of the early stage of the pump's seal failure. They insisted on adding dye and wait until more spatter come out and until the pump fails, leaking large amount of coolant. Only then, they will replace it.

They hurt the customer, themselves and leaving the problem unsolved. It's hard to believe that these shortsighted people are running around fixing other peoples cars. Good grief!!!
