CarComplaints.com Notes: What’s that smell – it’s a tad sweet with a tinge of chemical toxicity? If you own a 2011 Cruze it’s probably a coolant leak. It’s a widespread and notorious problem for the car and is the subject of a class-action lawsuit filed in the state of New York. And that’s not the only problem 2011 owners face…

Many say the 2011 model year suffers from a throttle lag that is probably due to a fauly electronic throttle control. The problem is signifigant enough that some owners say they are too scared to drive their cars. Those that do get behind the wheel often say their transmission isn’t shifting properly and problems start occuring as early as 15,000 miles.

All of this leads us to say you’re probably better off without this car’s headaches (they’re probably chemically-induced anyway).

This car has only 63000 kms on it and is a piece of sh*t... Now the transmission is whining! A low whine which gets louder as you increase speed. I have always owned Fords and this is the first AND LAST Chev I will ever buy!! Bought car used in July 2013 and it's now January 2015 That is 18 months of hell.

No block heater, antifreeze inside car on windows, interior material melted from sun, heater doesn't blow heat until you drive 10 miles, heater jumps from dash to floor and back to dash, engine fan roars every time after fueling, engine light comes on, heater blows cold air and have to disconnect battery and hook back up to reset it and then it blows heat, and now tranny is whining. Can't check tranny fluid because its a sealed unit. How f-ing dumb is that? Oh yeah, now recalled because power steering may fail. And can't check fluid in that either because it doesn't have any. Not to mention the most uncomfortable seats you ever sat in and the crappiest stereo I have ever heard!! Had a Ford with 300000 kms on it that had less problems than this thing.

FORD I miss you!! I will never ever ever buy another Chev.

Update from Jan 14, 2015: So I just went online to chat to Chevrolet manufacturer and every time I ask "why hasn't this vehicle been recalled for all its problems" I mysteriously get disconnected. Imagine that!
