The car at times does not want to start. It just does a clicking sound. This is not the starter or battery. It sometimes help to move the shift back and forth or just keep trying to start it until it does. One time it got so bad until I left my car parked for a week. It has not done that again.

Impala LTZ 3.9L

  • Automatic transmission

Car has gone through a battery every year for 3 years. If car is not driven daily it kills the battery. Friend up the road has same year and make. Same thing. Service center tried to say it is because the car has to driving daily. Also stated it only needs battery for starting. i.e you can leave out the battery once started.

Would not start, clicked and then all gauges went haywire, pull key out, put key back in, same thing. Turned out to be a bad starter relay.
