The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Impala. The contact stated that anytime it rains, heavy water leaks into the vehicle on the passenger side through the fuse box panel. The failure creates a puddle of water on the passenger floor and also affected the electrical system, especially the window motors. The failure has been occurring since April of 2006 and the dealer has been unable to duplicate the failure. On May 17,2008, the general manager was able to see the puddle of water and stated that the water was entering in through the fuse box panel. The technicians repaired the fuse box panel due to corrosion and sealed the cowl. The failure has recurred and the general manager advised him to call NHTSA to file a safety complaint. The current mileage is approximately 38,150 and the failure mileage was unavailable. Updated
