I was surprise to learn that this hub bearing was a problem, most bearings last the life of the vehicle. My son was using this car in Alberta and I was bringing the car back East. He had noticed some road noise with time. After finding on the Web that the Michelin Hydrohedge tires were giving much noise when the tread gets used up. So I took his word for it, and I made over 7000 kilometers with a bad front hub wheel bearing.
After I got home on the East coast, I check on the Internet. With the information I found I had to check my wheel. Holding the tire in the 12 and 6 o'clock position, there was some movement on this front passenger tires indicating the bearing was gone. Bought a new one and replace it myself. What a relieve that the noise was gone, and that I had made it home with this defective part.
