A familiar problem. Wife driving kids to town and pulled uyp to stop sighn. Vehicle would not move and made grinding sound when placed in park. The repair shop suspects the transfer case (AGAIN) and that the electric shift motor probably slipped out of gear. They want us to replicate the problem befor they get into it. Next time who knows where that will be? This time it was in a driving cold rain storm.
Chevrolet knows about this problem along with the speedometer issue described elsewhere here. We think that this level of poor performance is unacceptable and will definately look to another vehicle to replace this one with. The problem (and reason for GMs demise) is failure to admit mistakes and fix them without delay. Thanks UAW for the destruction of your own jobs and America!
