CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.

For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.

Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2014 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.

I bought new 2104 Honda Accord Lx and after driving 26000 I noticed oil consumption .Avery 2000 miles I have to put 1/2 quarter of engine oil to bring oil to normal level.

Before this complaint, oil was leaking between engine and transmission due to bad main engine oil seal which was fixed by dealer.

I reported both complains to Honda product complaint department they provided me the case number for both complains

I am in an unfortunate situation. I actually work for a Honda Supplier. I currently maintain all the company vehicles purchased by our company. We have a estimated 100 company vehicles that I maintain. (All of the Accords in our company pool are experiencing this issue, except the newer models 2012 - 2014. I currently own a 2008 Honda EX Accord of my own. At about 65,000 I began noticing a grinding nose at a cold start up. Also, I began being told at the time of oil change of the excessive oil consumption and could be critical to the engine. No leak was found. Besides the loud start up noise, the oil level indicator did not indicate a low oil level. This could cause damage to the engines. I understand there was a class action settlement for the Accords V6, but I don't understand why all affected Accords were not included. This is a Honda Accord Model design issue and should be recalled and repaired by Honda. Not the expense of the owner.
