2017 Honda Accord EX-L 4 Door Sedan 4 Cylinder 2.4L While driving my car I noticed shaking then my car dropped down to 10mph on the highway. when I pressed the pedal to speed up my car started jerking and did not go any faster. all the lights came on my dashboard including ABS. Me and my child safety was at risk because i was doing 10mph on a 45mph highway. we could have been hit. I took my car to the dealer they told me I'm not the only one having this problem with the ABS module and the part is on back order. So that mean there is a defect in the part that's why they cant get everybody need it. I brought it to the dealer they told me its nothing they can do. Not even test the part. i had a message about vehicle stability. maybe about 2months ago.

My 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid was having an issue where several warning lights would light up on the dashboard, so I took it in to Auburn Honda, located at 1801 Grass Valley Hwy, Auburn, CA 95603, to get the car serviced under warranty. They made the necessary repair, which was the replacement of a battery component and I picked up the car on 2/2/21. After about 45 minutes of driving the car with no stops immediately after picking up the car, the warning lights returned and the car suddenly shut off. When I tried to restart the car, smoke billowed from the rear. Shortly thereafter, the entire car was engulfed in flames. This incident occurred more than a year ago and ever since I have been trying to get the proper individual or individuals to accept responsibility for this incredibly dangerous and costly incident, for which we have still received NO compensation. My insurance provider, Atlantic Casualty, and Auburn Honda's insurance provider, Federated Insurance, both sent out fire inspectors of their own accord and they concluded that the battery malfunctioning caused the fire. At this time, the car was at Auburn Honda and the inspection was conducted there. My most recent step and what has led me to file this complaint is that I made a claim months ago with American Honda Motor Corporation on the advice of Auburn Honda to find a resolution to this incident. They have been uncooperative and refuse to accept that the fire was caused by the battery. After the car was moved to a junk yard and almost a year had passed from the date of the incident, they sent out their own fire inspector who concluded that the cause of the fire was not the battery. This is on a car that has already been inspected and changed hands and locations several times at this point. They refuse to accept responsibility despite the fact that two independent fire inspectors already concluded that the cause WAS the battery, which is supplied and approved by American Honda Motor Corporation.

Was driving on the highway when vehicle_ 2017 Accord hybrid_ its speed was about increasing to around 55mph from about 40mph the vehicle suddenly lost power. The oil and battery indicator lights came on red on the instrument cluster and it stalled_ pressing the acceleration paddle couldn't make the vehicle move any faster. Put hazard lights on and moved to the side of the highway. The error code 'high voltage battery charge too low; vehicle cannot start' appeared on the instrument cluster. When you push the start button to start the vehicle, same error codes appear (hvbc high voltage battery charge too low, vehicle cannot start with the oil and battery indicators on instrument cluster lit on red). When you put the gear in drive it wouldn't move, nor when you put it in reverse the vehicle wouldn't back up. You could hear a loud revving noise when you put the vehicle in neutral. Got the vehicle towed to the dealer. Noticed 2014-15 Accord hybrid was recalled for 'hybrid system may go into fail-safe mode'. production was stopped in 2016. But this is a 2017 Honda Accord hybrid with same issue from previous generation.

The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. While driving 80 mph on the highway, the speed reduced significantly. The contact pulled over and attempted to restart the vehicle. The vehicle took awhile to restart, hesitated, and did not smoothly shift gears to accelerate. The vehicle jerked and struggled to gain speed. The vehicle was driven slowly until it finally reached 65 mph; however, it would decelerate on any hill and struggle to gain speed. All the instrument panel indicators illuminated. Team Honda (6363 siegen ln, baton rouge, la 70809, (225) 298-4100) scheduled an appointment for later in the week. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 66,000. The VIN was unknown.

Electrical system failure. Had to replace the battery and that didn't work. The safety features on the car are no longer operating (ABS, lkas, acc). These features all stopped working while driving on the highway. This was terrifying and could be an issue if someone is used to having these features available and all of a sudden they don't work. If a driver is dependent on these safety features after driving for several years with having them on, a driver could potentially cause harm to themselves or others if these features are suddenly not functioning correctly. When I went to the dealer they said it wasn't covered under the car warranty. Car is only 2 years old and has under 60K miles.

For the second time in less than two months, the emissions/electrical/check engine on the 2017 Honda Accord is an issue. I have researched the internet and I am finding that this is a common error on the 2016 Honda's and newer. The emission error system has come on again. The last time I had this problem the converter had to be replaced. The system error comes on when driving when raining, which makes me believe that there is also a electrical problem as well. I find this concerning on a new, 100 percent dealer maintained vehicle. There is obviously an electrical/emission problem in the system and it requires an independent party to review. The tech states no issue can arise from having the check engine/emission light on but the car does tend to lose power during these issues. Honda owners should not be held liable for manufacture errors.

We recently purchased a 2017 Honda Accord ex-L V6 at a dealership in duluth Georgia. We traded a 2007 Honda Accord after having had an excellent experience with it. This nearly new vehicle is different from the 2007. It is mostly good but I discovered what I consider a safety issue. When the brake is applied, to reduce speed or come to a full stop, there is nearly a half second delay after lifting your foot from the brake pedal before the accelerator pedal becomes functional. If you happened to depress the accelerator prior to the end of the delay, the vehicle lurches forward and you could impact the vehicle ahead of you, or if you are moving forward and brake again to offset the forward lurch, the vehicle behind you could assume you were moving forward and rear end you because you braked unexpectedly. This situation could also be a problem when stopped on a hill either up or down. The delay creates a moment when the vehicle is out of control and unsafe. The fix could possible be to reduce the time of the lag or eliminate the lag situation completely in the computer module. I hope you will look into this concern!

Brake caliper retaining clips appear to be incorrectly installed or poorly designed. This has a trail of problems compiling at a quick pace. The brake pads don't travel freely even with grease. The outside brake pads will wear out approximately 1-2 millimeters before the inside brake pads wear down to the squealer (warning noise to let you know brake pad replacement is needed). The other pads will grind the outer surface of the rotars. Brake pads will not retract bake to normal position and constant friction causes excessive heat which is carried out through the caliper pistons, wheel hub/bearings, wheels, significant motor and transmission damage being over worked. Gas mileage is constantly in high teens. Rarely have I ever hit over 25mpg regardless of city driving out highway driving. First sign of brake pad failure@1st 8,000 miles on vehicle. Brake fluid is already burnt or drk brwnish color at 40,000 miles. This car generates more than questionable heat from front wheels after 10mins of parking lot driving. This appears as if the vehicle is being driving hard as if I am abusing the 2.4L 4cyl engine powering a cvt transmission.

Honda Accord 2017 continuously variable transmission (cvt) torque converter seal leaking transmission fluid. Dealer first said it was left-over from assembly, cleaned it. But leak persisted. They replaced the torque converted seal, and yet problem still persisted. Called Honda customer assistance and they just wanted me to go to a different dealer. The car has only 10K miles. Drives normally. But leaking transmission fluid is a time bomb. You never know when it will get worse and possibly damage the transmission.

The vehicle I owned is 2017 Honda Accord touring. Problem I discovered was center console silver stripe (passenger side) pop up. I went to dealership have it fixed. The problem occurs every month, and I am getting tried to fix it every month. The silver stripe piece is sharp, could possibly cut your finger or skin. I owned the vehicle for almost a year, like new, with less than 3K miles on it.

We financed a 2017 Honda Accord sport cvt on July 17, 2017. We have noticed various issues with the lag/hesitation upon accelerating as well as braking and steering. We searched online to see if anyone else was experiencing the same issues and found multiple complaints revolving around this model vehicle. Less than 11,000 miles, we noticed the front passenger brakes were getting really low and wearing unevenly compared to the other three, I.e. screeching; which was odd and concerning since it had 11,000 miles and only one side was worn down. December 2017, the passenger front brakes became so low, when applying the brakes there was a metal on metal, grinding noise. We visually inspected the brakes and could see the brake pads on the passenger side were almost non-existent, as well as the wear on the rotors. We took the car to the dealership where we purchased the vehicle on 12-12-17 and they claimed the brake pads were wearing evenly/normal; the other service station at this location agreed that its not normal for the car the have less than 12000 miles for the first brake pads to be changed let alone worn unevenly. The concern wasn't the brake pads being changed, it is the mechanical function of the piston and caliper was causing the problem, or another underlying issue; having less than 12,000 miles isn't right. They didn't care, thought we wanted brakes changed for free. We filed a claim with Honda regarding the safety and wear of the brakes. The dealership replaced the brake pads, turned the rotators. The problem is still there and the piston getting "hung" may be the underlining reason for why the car lags when trying to accelerate. If it is depressed, its possible the brakes are wearing down while accelerating. Safety is our first concern, and we feel there is a deeper problem that should be looked at. Will speak in further detail regarding these and other issues.

The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. While attempting to depress the accelerator pedal, the vehicle moved very slowly. The contact shifted into reverse and heard an abnormal noise. After placing the vehicle in drive, it became difficult to move while the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle was towed to rick case Honda (15700 rick case Honda way, davie, fl 33331) where the diagnosis was undetermined. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure recurred. In addition, the vehicle was shook violently. The vehicle was taken back to rick case Honda where it was diagnosed that the transmission was at fault. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 2,400. Consumer stated transmission was replaced and dealership exchanged for another 2017 Honda Accord.
