This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Driving vehicle home after work. Stopped to pickup child at daycare. Parked vehicle and went inside. Moments later people came in to call 911 due to car on fire in parking lot. No recent work or drivable issues.
When driving at 45mph to 50 mph in normal evening traffic, suddenly the tachometer, engine temp gage and speedometer went to zero/no reading. Digital odometer also went to zero. Fuel gage showed more than full when the actual reading should be about 3/4 full. A web search shows that this problem has happened at least to two other owners who may have not reported this to NHTSA.
