The drivers floor board and front passenger floor board has COMPLETELY RUSTED OUT! I had peeling sound packaging--per 2 different maintenance workers. NOW HOLES! VERY UNSAFE--Also tons OF DUST AND MILDEW--I HAVE HORRIBLE ALLERGIES---THIS IS SO UNACCEPTABLE, and a huge HUGE FINANCIAL BITE-TOTAL FIXING IS MORE THAN THE CAR IS WORTH!!!! SO NOT HAPPY.

ive always thought Nissans were great cars until we purchased one. All we have had has been problems with it. While some are small, we still have had to take it to mechanic to get fixed. From multiple recalls to just things that you would think(part) would last longer on a Japenese car.

To make matters worse today I just noticed something bulging down on the passenger side. I didn't think of it much until I realized there was a big hole in the floor! I could fit both fists into the hole and feel the internal carpet. This is extremely dangerous as sometimes in the past I would have my dog lay on the floor and he could have fallen through.

Nissan should be responsible for fixing this issue as many people around the country has been effected.

I was unsure how the fllorboard on my 2004 Nissan Altima had occurred but just found out today that this is a major problem with the 2002 - 2006 Nissan Altima. It has gotten so bad there is a hole in my floorboard and the rust has now affected the frame of the car.

floorboard rust

Floorboard of the Altima was rusted worse from the inside than from the outside. The rusted section was removed.

Nissan should inform customers that this is occurring so it can be fixed sooner and for less money. Based on the way they handle this issue, I won't be buying another Nissan. Rust can be expected - but not from the inside out and with such a wide occurrence of affected vehicles.
