Altima SL 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 88,000 miles

Purchased my 2012 Altima from a dealer - certified pre-owned. Did all required maintenance/repairs. Transmission just failed. Nissan's response...oh...sorry. Now that I'm reading online, there are multiple reports of this problem for a variety of Nissan vehicles - problem isn't limited to the Altima - and the company knows about it. It's too late for me...save yourself. Do the homework before you buy a Nissan - they have high transmission failure rates shortly after warranty ends.
