Two different dealers have tried their best, BUT IT'S AN ENGINEERING DEFECT. The backup camera image on the 7" larger display (with Navigation) is NOT CLEAR. The entire head unit and camera have been replaced, even though both service managers were in agreement that it wouldn't help. The image is OK (not great but OK) on the 5" display, but NOT ON THE 7". My guess is that the resolution is NOT MATCHED between the camera and the larger display, and THERE ARE NO SETTINGS OR ADJUSTMENTS that can be made to change the situation.
According to Nissan Consumer Affairs, which I've been dealing with for over 8 MONTHS "it's in spec" --- in other words they DON'T CARE if you can't tell the difference between a cardboard box and a small child in the camera, and REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY to fix it.
