I have to press my keys about 3 to 4 times for my car to crank up. This has been going on since early 2018.

Altima S 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

Well, today I was going down the highway and out of nowhere my 2015 Altima died. It lost all power and started jerking and stalling so I had no choice but to swerve into the gas station and hit a curb. After all that my car overheated. Now it won't hold any coolant and the obd code says the multiple cylinders are misfiring. Nissan is garbage.

I bought a 2015 Altima Last year in March 2019. During the hot summer here in Vegas the car would either stall/chug or shut off completely. I have been through 2 Nissan dealerships and my own mechanic and nobody knows what is happening? It is still occurring and I am not at a place where I can just trade in the car or sell since I just purchased the car last year. Does anyone else have/had this type of problem if so what was it really? I ready about the " Valve" something replaced however the person that mentioned that said it didn't correct the issues. I am completely frustrated with this and when brought to get the "diagnostics" done no codes and I am out 100.00 every time OR they want to fix things that are not the problem. So I allow them to fix what they "think" is going on and spending all this money for nothing! If anyone has had this issue please the more direction I can get on what is happening the better.

While waiting to make a turn, car stalled out on me for the third time during rush hour. The local police had to block cross traffic and push my car out of traffic, as my disabled vehicle was causing a massive traffic jam. Had car towed down to the Nissan dealer on Oct 17, 2016 and has been there a week now.

Altima Limited 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,000 miles

Car started to lose power while driving, and one day went out to start car and it cranked but didn't start. Called the service department where I had purchased car and was told to bring car in, and was given phone number of tow company they use. After about an hour, I tried to start car again and it finally turned over and I was able to sputter my way to the dealership. Once I got car there it stalled on the service manager when he tried to pull out of service bay, and after about two days I was informed that the valve body had to be replaced.

Repair was done and car was running fine.

This is the second time in two months that this problem has occurred. The service department replaced the valve body back in July, and it ran good until last night (09/07). I get into car on way to store, and it shut off while I was driving down the street. Thank goodness it cut off while I was still on my street, as I was able to coast car to curb. I tried to start and it just cranked and never turned over. I called my roadside assistance to have vehicle towed back down to Nissan service department and now patiently waiting on call.

Altima S 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,941 miles

I was going around a clover ramp on 94/494 heading south and the car shut down on the top of the ramp in the merge area and took 3 attempts to restart. Brought it to the "Luther Nisan Kia" Dealer that I bought the car from and they said that they could not duplicate the problem and told me to come get the car.

Purchased a Nissan Juke (2015) at the beginning of August 2014 - vehicle ran fine the first few weeks without any problems until the end of the month (28th). I was driving on the interstate at approximately 2pm when the vehicle decided to shut down - thank God there was light traffic at the time so I was able to keep my composure without panicking. I hit the start button once to no avail, I repeated to hit the start button a second time and the vehicle was able to restart. A few days later on September 10th, I was returning from the shopping center when all of a sudden within a few blocks from house the vehicle turned completely off once again - I managed to steer the vehicle to the side and hit the start button once, twice and on the third try the vehicle started.

I took my vehicle into the local Nissan dealer this morning September 11th at 9am - phoned them around 3pm only to have them tell me they are still working on the problem - so I wait.
