The air conditioner is making a loud noise that is coming from the fan on passenger side. It sounds like something is stuck in it and clicks faster as fan turns up. It is very loud. Sometimes it will stop briefly after the car hits a bump in the road, but it comes back.

This first happened within about 6 months after I bought the car in January of 2015. I took it to the dealer. They said that a leaf had gotten stuck inside the fan. They removed it free of charge and the problem went away. I do not have kids and I rarely have a passenger, especially ones who would stick leaves in my car.

The problem started again on or about September 26, 2016. I called a Nissan Dealership and they are considering charging me $125 service fee for just looking at it. There is obviously a design defect in the car, allowing debris to get swept into the air vent. I should not be required to pay $125 every time it happens.

The front window de mister fan causes a noise to occur similar to radio static when switched on/off. The noise varies in intensity; sometimes appearing to come from the back of the vehicle as well as the front. The radio has not been on when this noise has occurred.

The dealer states that the cause is the direction valve opening and shutting to allow the air to travel to the appropriate area. Not convinced about this explanation as I have had the car six months, but noise has only just started.

Anybody any ideas

Thanks
