These VISORS absolutely SUCK!! I have already repaired them, and now they need to be replaced. I have read all of the comments by others and this is not acceptable to me. I am just starting the search for a new vehicle for my wife. Nissan will not be a part of the process this time. They don't want to deal with a poor production problem and unhappy consumers! Then the only option is to never purchase their product again. I owned an old style pathfinder years ago and it was a decent little truck. Now their vehicles are not worth looking at. The only recourse we have as consumers is to stop buying their products.

The Nissan dealership where I bought the car in 2013 helped pay for 1/2 of the cost. The sun visor was hanging in my face and obstructed my view while driving. During sunny days you had better have your sunglasses, even so the glare from the sun made it difficult to see. A huge distraction while driving. There have been too many recalls since I have bought the car. In fact, less than 1 yr. I noticed the passenger seatbelt light issue come on and reported to the manufacturer who denied there was a problem and sure enough after about a year they had a recall on it.Now the other visor is having the same issue of where the plastic connector has disengaged from normal use and you have to replace the entire thing.Please Nissan take care of getting this issued fixed, I know I am not the only one, but am taking the time to report it because the cost to replace it is expensive.

This plastic car is horrible but since I can only report one problem at a time the visors are a safety hazard and very annoying. Called dealer, call North America Nissan and was told not under warranty. The cost to fix was 150 dollars each not including labor. What a mess the car is held together by glue and plastic. It seems to be assembled on the Lego line. What is the problem guys? You make top dollar and put your customers at risk? This is just one problem, lets get on with the next. Nissan was my number one pick of makers, but now it is low on my list. Fix the problems and stop looking at profit at the risk of your customers.

The Driver side sun visor broke first - and it broke in a way that you can't put it up or down -- it just dangles in front of your face while you drive. This affected visibility so my hubby put a clamp to hold it in place.

Right after the driver side sun visor broke... so did the passenger side.

After a few months we decided to just get it fixed because not even the clamps could hold them.

I complained but Nissan said it isn't under warranty... so we paid out-of-pocket.

The problem is that the sun visors are cheap and break... we have owned various cars and this is the first time that a sun visor breaks from normal use.

Hopefully other Nissan Pathfinder owners complain about this problem... it would be great to have the money reimbursed.

The cheap plastic piece inside the sun visors is horribly prone to breaking and the visor hangs there useless and limp right in your line of sight. I've seen so many complaints on the internet about it that you'd think there should be a safety recall! It's also not a cheap fix! $110 in parts alone for each visor. Since it is out of warranty the dealer suggested I replace them ($400 parts and labor) or VELCRO them up. I have a feeling that this car will be held together with velcro, duct tape, and epoxy before it hits 5 years old!

This problem is a rash on the internet. Just go to YouTube. If you own this vehicle, it WILL be a problem! How do you know? Does your visor make a clicking noise when you flip it up or down? Does it get louder over time, making you think something will break? Yes, it will break. It is a little plastic part inside the visor. Once it breaks, the visor won't stay up...or in any position except right where you need to see.

IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE A RECALL.

The only fix to restore full functionality is to replace the sun visor. Do it at the dealership & you are out $200 or more...per visor.

Do it yourself and you are out $141 PER VISOR from the dealer or $91 per visor from Amazon or Ebay. For a few bits of plastic & fabric. What a load of bullcrap!

Nissan denies ever hearing of this, even though there is a video on YouTube of a guy at a Nissan Dealership saying they've replaced over 50 of them in the past year for this exact issue.

Nissan knows there is a problem, but they are too cheap to make sure their customers are taken care of. It is a poor design, and I'm sure that the replacement visor will fail in another 2 or 3 years.

I asked Antwerpen to take a look at the visors as both visors started drooping and are a pain in the butt when driving. I was told first that a new visor cost $85.00. The next time I asked I was told it would cost $199. because they had to install the three screws. My complaint is that I never move the visors, the car has less than 20,000 on it and I have the extended warranty on it. I feel Nissan should replace both visors. Antwerpen is the closest dealership to me in Carroll County. The next dealership is in Hanover, PA. When brand new my Platinum Pathfinder cost me close to $52,000 after all the Misc. expenditures were added. It doesn't seem quite fair that I have to pay for the visors when I didn't break them.
