I was driving on the nys thruway around 70-75mph and the car decelerated to 55mph then was like in a coast mode. The wrench light came on and it said see manual. I pushed the pedal all the way to the floor and it would not go any faster. I was able to coast to the side of the road. I turned car off and then turned it back on and pushed ok to the see manual. I was then able to drive it. We could of been killed if someone was behind me. I brought in to dealer and said they really didn't find anything wrong or see any info on the computer when car was hooked up. Very scary as I have read online more people have had this happen to them.

Strong exhaust and very high levels of co entering cabin at normal acceleration, very bad at hard acceleration I have multiple pictures of my co sensor I had in the vehicle for some time now with lethal co levels. I believe the exhaust manifolds have big enough cracks to flood in co into the cabin through openings. Mine has had the 'dealer itsb' to resolve, no change and it registered higher after. Replace this manifold and seal this truck or buy it back from me Ford. If putting my family's life in danger daily doesn't scare you, the pictures and proof I have are enough for another lawsuit against you for this! I need to be contacted by a Ford rep (not a dealership) to resolve or my lawyers will follow up with you. While getting on the freeway emissions come thru the A/C and at times the entire A/C cuts out and a bigger puff of these same emissions comes out again thru the A/C vents...a few weeks ago it started a to hesitate when leaving stop signs or lights...to the point it just stops moving and takes seconds to catch hold.we have had it in service 5 times and the dealership is submitting a claim to the Ford tech for an appointment to evaluate the car and go from there waiting for the call now...I feel very threatened with emissions in the cabin of the car. We have to lower at least 2 windows to be able to stand the smell and we figure danger level is high

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Explorer. The contact stated that the exhaust unit caused fumes to enter the cabin of the vehicle. While driving 65 mph, the carbon monoxide unit installed in the vehicle alerted the contact of the fumes. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (stivers Ford Lincoln, 1450 E. hickman rd, waukee, ia 50263), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. There is a rotten egg smell everytime we accelerate at a high speed when the ecoboost is used. I've taken it to Ford to have seals checked and the smell is still there. My toddler complains of headaches everytime we're in the vehicle and I've had nausea several times. I am now pregnant and worry the fumes will affect the unborn baby.

I bought my Ford Explorer 2 years ago brand new and everys since I bought it I have had headaches. Dizziness while driving and electrical problems with it. My husband has also been treated for headaches and we believe it is from our Ford, we don't have these issues until we are in the car for long periods of time. We purchased our vehicle in may of 2017, and noticed weird smells. Took it on a road trip and noticed them again in July. After the late July 2017 news release of co in Ford Explorer, we used co monitors and in fact, had co readings. It has been to the dealer approx 10 time and had the tsb service performed, but the problem still exists. I've had 3 different cases open with Ford, and during the last case, they denied my "buyback" request. Please help. Photo attached and videos can be mailed in that show co levels and then show co levels going to zero when we roll down the window. We have had co problems for over a year now. Please help because Ford won't.

Driven 2013 and 2016 Ford Explorer sports total 130 K miles, am extremely ill due to carbon monoxide issues, complained to my dr's for over four years headaches, dizzy, blurry vision, overall confusion, not comprehending, shortness of breath, chest pain and sweating, had sinus surgery June 2017 thought that was the issue, never felt better after surgery, my ent's stated not sinus issue, has to be underlying medical issues, went to Ford dealership two months ago, asked technician why so many cop Explorer in for service, tech related, carbon monoxide issue technical bulletin recall, had taken my 2016 in a year ago complaining of exhaust odors, went home googled carbon monoxide poisoning and was astonished to see that all of my medical complaints to my dr's over the past four years related to long term exposure to carbon monoxide poisoning, feel Ford is trying to just wipe their hands, these cars are killing people, especially drivers like my self who are in their vehicles for extended periods of time.kindly reply to what may be accomplished to get Ford to take responsibility for these death cars

I have noticed theres a burning smelling from heater/ac vents right after acceleration from vehicle being stopped. I can confirm its a burning smell (similar to burning plastic or rubber). When the smell is present, it feels like theres lack of acceleration from the gas pedal. Almost like if theres a clogged air filter or issue with transmission or exhaust. It feels like that kind of poor acceleration issue. The burning smells last for about 1-2 minutes and I'm not sure where its coming from. The odor is a very strong odor and I'm waiting for a fire to break out somewhere when this odor is present. I have a service appt on Monday, Feb 26 and hopefully something will be found. The last thing I want is to be driving and the vehicle breaks down, let alone catches fire for some reason.

From the day I took delivery of my 2016 Ford Explorer Sport, there was a prominent smell in the cabin that appeared under moderate acceleration. I initially believed it to be caused by the "breaking in" of a new engine. However, the problem persisted. Passengers would continually ask me about the awful "rotten egg" smell in my Explorer. I was getting headaches and feeling nauseous at times while driving my Explorer. After researching the issue on the internet, I found countless reports of others having the same experience with their Explorer. I took my vehicle to auto nation Ford in scottsdale, AZ and the service advisor told me they've had several folks with the same issue and that Ford had issued a service bulletin on how to resolve the problem. I was told that there was a design flaw leading to the exhaust fumes re-entering the vehicle through the ventilation system. The advisor indicated they would need the car for at least a week to re-seal the system to minimize the problem. After having my vehicle for several weeks, I received it back and the issue was not resolved. I returned the car to Ford and they arranged for me to have loaner Explorer while they worked on mine. It had the same exact issue. My Explorer was at the dealer for well over a month and I was told that they were waiting for Ford to engineer and manufacture the parts needed to fully resolve the exhaust leaks. After finally getting the car back, the issue initially seemed to improve, but quickly returned. The dealer has stated they have done all they can and that no other fix exists. This is completely unacceptable and unsafe. I have a wife and 3 children and I do not feel comfortable driving with them in the vehicle beyond very short trips. We've even gone so far as to rent vehicles for family road trips due to the issues with our Explorer.
