While driving at highway speed the rear window suddenly shattered with no apparent external force. There was a loud pop/bang and rapid decompression in the cabin and the entire rear window was shattered. Upon checking the damage after stopping the car, the glass had blown outward. There were brake lines emanating from a point near the rear wiper, although there was no visible mark on the glass or the wiper of an impact.

While driving home from work, at about 4:00 in the afternoon, the moonroof glass exploded outward. No damage from debris or falling objects on the glass. Windows and moonroof were closed. A/C set at 71 degrees. Temperature outside showed to be 102 degrees. Car was parked under covered parking at work for 10 hours before driving home.
