CarComplaints.com Notes: For the third year in a row, the 3rd generation Focus is experiencing massive transmission problems.

Most notably owners keep complaining about how there's bad hesitation and jerking when starting from a stop. This isn't the result of an old, worn out part. In fact, the average mileage it's reported to us is just over 15k miles.

transmission went @ 5000 miles, had car in shop for 22 days, got car back and noticed a squeal turning left or right also a ringing noise at left rear wheel(bearing?) vehicle is back in shop now for 2 days said they didn't know what was wrong, had to contact Ford. So far a total of 24 days vehicle has been in shop. Looking into Ct. lemon law. If they say that it is fixed I'd be afraid to drive the junk as something or the SAME thing could go wrong and get into an accident.
