The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. While driving approximately 55 mph, the steering wheel seized and the power steering warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to frank myers auto maxx (4200 patterson ave, winston-salem, nc 27105, (336) 767-3482) where it was diagnosed that the power steering failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer informed the contact that the VIN was not included in any recalls and referred the contact to NHTSA. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000. The VIN was not available.
