CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.

For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.

Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2013 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.

Backed up from my drive way and the center console showed the rear view camera. As I switch to drive the rear view camera was still active. I stopped and parked the car and waited about 20 seconds and started the car and the screen was frozen on initializing Bluetooth. The time also did not move. Restarted twice and the same thing happened. About thirty minutes into my drive, the Honda home screen came on and it brought up navigation; however, that screen was stuck. Lastly, arrived to work and cut the car off and restarted and now it is stuck on initializing Bluetooth again.

I have had non stop computer issues with this car, mostly with the sync and audio but also with the check fuel cap light, and the front end collision warning light. The stereo will reset itself to the disc mode and the voice sync doesn't recognize the voice command. The check fuel cap light will come on randomly not associated with the time I fuel , then will go off without me doing anything. The weirdest thing that happened was when I was driving down the road not close to any other vehicles and the front end collision light comes on and I feel my brake pedal move. The dealer has checked out this car extensively twice and could not find anything. I did have a computer software update and that did help with the stereo noise and it defaulting all my stations to the same one, but the other stuff continues. I guess my standards are too high expecting when you pay 30k for a car everything works like it supposed too.

I purchased my car May 2013. The problem with the hands free link was there when I purchased the vehicle but just didn't know it. Every time I put names into the speed dial they erase after 3 to 4 days. It will not allow me to assign a voice tag to the speed dial. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer more than 10 times. They claimed to have replaced the hands free link but when I picked up my vehicle my phone was connected as soon as I turned the car on.

I called the corporate office as I was instructed to do so that they could set up my phone and the technician asked if they really replaced the hands free link. After deleting my phone and setting it up again the problem still exist. I took it back to the dealer and was told that Honda is aware of the problem however they do not have a fix for it. I requested a new vehicle however they are not willing to give me a new vehicle or buy it back. I have filed a suit against them.

One of the reasons I bought the car was because it had this convenient text reading feature and now it doesn't even work? Dealer and forums say it works. No one yet at the dealer has found out how yet. They are working on it though. I am being patient looking forward to it happening one day.

Facts: Bluetooth Text notification and audible read does not work. Phone: I-phone 5 "Show notifications" switch set to on. Bluetooth is connected to everything else. Pandora, Music and Contacts. Curious to know if a software fix is in the works.
