CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.
For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.
Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2013 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.

When the engine temperature is cold, the car would upshift to the next gear too soon. This happens particularly when the car is just started in the morning or in the winter.
It is very easy to reproduce this issue. Start the car and immediately drive without warming up the engine. Perform a hard acceleration in drive (D). Transmission is set to shift automatically.
1st gear would shift at 3500-4000 RPM.
2nd gear would shift at 4500-5000 RPM.
This is very annoying when trying to do a hard acceleration on cold engine because the transmission does not shift at near redline 6000-6500 RPM (maximum acceleration on the optimization between torque and horsepower curve). Maybe this is done to protect the engine to prevent premature piston wear.
The solution is to warm up the engine to optimal engine operating temperature.
