Dt received a noticed from person I bought the vehicle from. This letter states that nissian offering new air bag that was is made better and to be installed in my vehicle at no charge to me. It does sound like a recall. Have contacted dealer they said this does not show this in their systems and had me to contact nissian North America. Contacted nissian and they had me fax this letter to them once on May 31st, June 10th, and June 23rd. Have still not heard anything back from nissian. Have also left messages and still no contact back from nissian.
I understand that there is a recall on my 1995 Altima for air bag replacement. I contacted my dealer last month and he said that I had to wait until I got my letter from Nissan. Now that red light is flashing and I cannot afford to pay repairs now and then have the bag replaced later by Nissan. Please remedy this situation asap. Thank you. Lewis zeller
Consumer received recall notice 03V150000 concerning passenger's side air bag failure. Consumer contacted Nissan North America headquarters, and mechanic informed the consumer that replacement of driver's side air bag was not covered under the recall. Consumer was responsible for the repair of the parts and labor.
As consumer was completing a turn to pull forward onto the road, with no prior warning. The air bags deployed accompanied by a fire. The consumer had contacted Nissan for two reasons #1 there was no impact of any kind or accident and #2 Nissan engineers should find out why the air bas deployed own it's own because consumer safety is involved.
We need to have Nissan Altima 1994-1995 re-called due to falty passenger air-bags. There are many people that suffered from injury's and thank god I am not one, but it shoulden't take me or my loved ones to suffer from a injury that can be avoided. Then will it change it's faults? please help the people. Thank you.

After recently seeing a report on the injuries caused by the 1994/1995 airbag deployment, I am trying to find out if my car has this faulty airbag and what I can do about it.

Air bag light has started flashing on dashboard. Consumer has not taken T vehicle to a dealership. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
When starting car and the seatbelt light went off, airbag light blinked off and on. Airbag may have deployed when consumer hit a bump. Also, odometer was not working at all. Hydraulic disc brakes and shoes had been changed, but consumer still hears a squeeky noise when driving or coming to a stop. Took to dealer, brakes were checked, but did not know where squeaky noise was coming from.
