The contact owns a 1999 Nissan Altima. The contact attempted to accelerate from a complete stop but the vehicle would not engage. The contact was advised by an independent mechanic that the throttle linkage had fractured from the vehicle. The mechanic was able to reconnect the linkage. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileages were 100,000.
Consumer states that when starting the vehicle, it will jump forward a few inches, the problem is an intermittent problem. Contacted dealer and the dealer cannot find the problem. Nlmjlg
As driver applied brakes, car suddenly accelerated while foot was still on brakes. During this acceleration, the car made a "roaring" noise and the number of engine revolutions increased. This acceleration caused the driver to hit a stopped school bus in front of him.
