Bought car about 4 years ago, very random problem, sometimes runs great for 6 or more months and does it again. When stopped engine surges to about 2500 RPMS usually when you shift to park drops back to normal idle if you can hold the brake hard enough to keep from running over somebody. Changed IAC valve in March of this year and ran fine until last week-same problem again. Dealer says they would love to check it out for $80 but if check engine light is not on and no codes are set or they get it to malfunction they have no idea. Have read several others had this problem with no answer from dealers or mechanics. To me this is a major safety issue but seems the Nissan Co. has no answers and don't care. Maybe it's time for me to drive it, run under someone else and sue Nissan big time. Any help would be most grateful.
