There is definitely a defect with the 2008 Nissan Altima paint. I have seen many just in my home state with this same problem. The hood, roof and trunk are completely gone of all clear coat. I have tried numerous waxes to help bring back this paint with no luck. I have contacted Nissan with no attention given. Really disappointed that Nissan will not correct this issue.

I have a 2008 Nissan Altima and the paint on the hood, top, and trunk looks really bad, the clear coat has come off and this vehicle is kept in a garage, you would think a vehicle being just 7 years would not be dong this so soon. I have had other vehicles a lot older than this one is never do this, and it makes it hard to sell or trade in on another vehicle I will never buy another Nissan that is for sure.

Went to have my car detailed and they told me it was a bad paint year for Nissan Altimas. Thought I could have it detailed to fix, but was told it needs a complete paint job/clear coat. I have a 2004 Nissan Frontier and the paint still looks great. They got cheap! Way to go Nissan!!!!

I bought car brand new, after a couple of years paint started fading and eventually white started showing through and it's very dull and handles are bubbling up and paint is spidering up. I paid for extra paint warranty, they would not honor it, said I didn't inform them in appropriate time even though they sent a adjuster out and he said it was a bad batch of over-coating paint which his prior job was a car painter. The GM also said the same thing and the paint service I went and got an estimate from said this car has been painted before and it's a bad batch of paint. It's very frustrating since I finally bought a black car and I paid for extra services and it's still not honored. My car looks horrible for a car that is a little over 5 Years old.

Also it started making a rumbling noise in the driver's panel area and the sunroof has always been noisy.
