The contact owned a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled. The accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle hesitated and was slow to respond while continuing to jerk. The RPMs revved up and was fluctuating. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and the contact was informed that the warranty coverage was denied due to the transmission fluid not being flushed and replaced. The vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and later sold. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 116,000.
