CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2015 Nissan Altima shows multiple problem trends, continuing the poor reputation of the 2013 & 2014 Altima, prompting us to give it our "Beware of the Clunker" badge.
Car will not detect key fob most of the time, or says no key detected, or wrong key. Have changed batteries, happens with both keys. Dealer didn't help.
I have been having a third problem with my car. My key also won't get recognized by the car as well. A car won't that won't start is no good. I know it's not the key fob's battery as the car will tell you when the key fob's battery is low. I have several other posts on here. Read them too before you buy this car.I really regret buying the damn thing. My 2009 Altima was beast. What happened Nissan?
About a week ago my car wouldn't recognize the intelligent key when I was trying to unlock the door from the door handle. I tried over and over, pulled out the key fob and pushed the button and it worked fine. Since it has done that again a few different times, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have to hit it repeatedly until it finally works.
Then this morning I got in and went to start the car and it wouldn't start. The dash gave me an error message of "Key ID Incorrect" but then after a few attempts it worked. Wondering what's going on with my key?
