CarComplaints.com Notes: You should probably steer clear of the 2012 Focus. Otherwise, you might not be able to steer at all.

The 2012 is the first Focus to offer Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS). It's also the first year with massive power steering failure. These things are not mutually exclusive.

And while you wait for your steering to disappear, you'll be greeted with a transmission that shudders, vibrates or won't shift at all.

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

I hit a moose head on at 65 mph. It had jumped guard rail and I had only a second to react. It came through windshield and I was hit in head and face by the moose and windshield. I received a huge hematoma to forehead, a facial fracture and a gnarly scar on right side of face. I tried to lay down towards passenger side at moment of impact. It is good I am short because the head rest off driver seat was torn off. My Focus became a convertible. I have to keep going back to plastic surgeon to get shots to help with scarring. I already had one surgery and will most likely will have to have another one to re-align the scar. The airbags did NOT deploy.
