CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Nissan Altima has multiple problem trends including the CVT transmission, and now that this model is out of warranty, it earns our "Avoid Like The Plague" badge.
Owners complain about vibration and transmission failure related to the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), a whining noise from the power steering pump, and constant windshield problems that appear to be the result of poor design.
Be warned: the 2014 & 2015 Nissan Altima appears to share these same problems.

Well I took the car back onto the highway for the first time since I had the dealer fix this problem already, and what do you know the noise is still there. I am very upset with this dealer I have been taking it to. Browns fairfax nissan in fairfax, VA. First time I took it in they gave me a very dirty armada as a loaner car, it had steering problems, and when I went to get my car they told me they could not duplicate the problem(even though there was a service bulletin out about it) I brought it back and they gave me a maxima for a loaner that was also very dirty and had parts to it in the drivers door and the drivers seat fabric was hanging onto the floor in front of me, While i was driving a car was pulling in front of me and I hit the horn and guess what, it did not work(and the service manager called me to tell me he had set aside a car for me before getting there) so I almost had a bad accident, but I was able to move out of the way. When I picked my car up I noticed there was bad grease prints on my center console and steering wheel, my radio was changed and the bass was turned all the way up(note I brought this in for noises I had in other places of the car so why would they be listening to my radio?) and my right rear speaker is blown, then I find my power outlet cover had been broken off. This place sucks and I do not feel safe in my new nissan.
