Terrible headlights. I have already changed couple low beam bulb in order to increase night vision, but the result didn't change much. I do not see any roads clearly when I drive night time so it's not safe at all.
My headlights have deteriorated over time and now I cannot see at night unless I am using my bright lights. I work at night a lot and it's very dangerous and I'm very scared.
Purchased a 2013 Nissan Altima,07/2013 on February 2014. All seemed to be fine, one year after purchasethe low beam lights were very dim.it was difficult driving without using the high beam when L could. The forum's L viewed, stated this is a common problem with 2013-2018. Visit the dealer today for recalls and they told me that issue is not cover by warranty.
The front low beam regular headlights are way too dim now, there's barely any illumination. My wife was just pulled over last night as the officer thought she had her lights off. It's been this way for a while and so many people online are reporting the same problem. The bulbs themselves are just fine. It appears to be the reflective coating in the projector housing that burns off and then it basically stops projecting any light out. Very dangerous and now getting pulled over. This really should be a recall as you can barely see at night. Lots of similar complaints here: Https://www.carcomplaints.com/Nissan/Altima/2013/lights/dim_low_beams.shtml
The low beam headlights are so dim passengers do not want to ride in my car because they fear for their safety. I cannot see more than a few feet in front of the car unless I have high beams on. This is the case on country roads at night. In the city, I must completely rely on street lights as they overwhelm the headlights of my car.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at night, the headlamps failed to adequately provide illumination for safe driving. The vehicle was taken to sheehy Nissan of manassas located at (9010 liberia ave, manassas, va 20110). The contact was informed that both headlamp assembly needed to be replaced due to the projector bowl fading. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 74,254.
Lighting the headlights are very dim at night hard to see without the brights on. Was informed that reflective material deterioration is the cause. No recall from the manufacturer. Transmission the cvt transmission has gone out on me at 67,000 and again at about 186000 miles. No compensation or recall from the manufacturer on this either. Poor quality.
The headlights have dimmed and can barely see at night. This is a very serious safety issue that is known by Nissan and there are numerous issues reported all over the internet. This must be corrected by the manufacturer immediately before someone is seriously injured or killed. I own 2 of these vehicles and they both have the same issues with poor headlight projection! the headlight reflector deterioration is so bad that I can see the shadow of my car in my headlight beams from the car's headlights behind me. I do not feel that the owners of these vehicles should bear the cost for replacement of oem parts and/or aftermarket parts due to this issue being the #2 complaint on NHTSA website behind airbags and amounts to 15% of all complaints filed against the vehicle. The manufacturer should issue recall immediately for inspection and repair/replacement resolution by certified dealer.

I have been experiencing very poor lighting from my 2013 Nissan Altima headlamps. It is very difficult to see while driving at night, lighting is terrible and very unsafe. I have mentioned to dealer many times, and they have told me there is no current recall. I'm shocked, as I have read many complaints online, and the nhtsb has not recalled these vehicles for safety concerns. Why is Nissan doing nothing"?"
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at night, the low beam headlamps were inadequate for safe driving. The contact stated that the hi beam headlamp was used for nighttime driving. The vehicle was taken to pine belt Nissan of keyport dealer, (111 NJ-36, keyport, NJ 07735) and was diagnosed that the headlight reflector failed. The contact was informed that the headlamp housing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 53,839.
Low beam headlights so dim that they provide almost no light to see the road. I've see similar complaints from many Nissan Altima 2013-15 owners. This is unsafe and Nissan won't acknowledge this. It had been getting worse over the past year. I replaced bulbs but they did no good. Problem is in headlight reflector housing which reflects bulb's light. Lining degrades/burns off and light then gets absorbed, not reflected.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that the beam from the headlamps were insufficient save operation of the vehicle at night or early morning. The contact stated that the headlamp bulbs were replaced however, the replacement failed to address the failure. The vehicle was taken to gerald Nissan of North Aurora (213 hansen blvd, North Aurora, il 60542) where the vehicle was diagnosed. The contact was informed that the with the reflector on the inside of the headlamp housing was defective. The vehicle has not been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. No assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 103,000.
Headlights have been very dim for years and now are way worse. I can't see at all to drive at night, except when I drive with my lights on bright constantly and even those aren't great. I have had no one flash me with my brights on, if that is any indication of how bad they are. I have had many almost accidents because of this. This is an extremely urgent safety issue. I love my car and there is nothing wrong with it, except for this. Nissan needs to do something for its customer's safety. I am looking at trading it in because of this even though I really don't want to and never buying Nissan again. ( I own three Nissan cars presently and this one is just horrible.)
Halogen headlamps extremely dim. Using vehicle low beams, I cannot differentiate between asphalt and raised pavement lines during light or moderate rain. When replaced halogen lights with brighter led headlamps, the headlamps still appear dim and I can safely look directly through the projector at the new headlight (I cannot safely look at said led bulb when not installed in the headlamp assembly. Rpms and reflective signs are not visible until within 20 fee (or not at all in many cases), causing me to miss turns. In the image provided, the brand new 1,600 lumen led headlamps (bottom) are placed in reference to a 750 lumen led flashlight
The low beam headlights provide very little illumination which makes the car unusable at night. I did report to my dealer who suggested I purchase a new set on the internet and they would install them. I did that and thosre worked well for less than a year. The 2013 needs to be recalled tol replace the headlights with a newlly designed version.
