My supplemental airbag light is on and I have not been in accident. I know that there was recall for passer side airbag light so I am wondering if there is something going on with driver side air bag.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the air bag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to state line Nissan (10401 madison ave, Kansas City, mo 64114) where it was diagnosed and the contact was informed that nothing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The contact related the failure to an unknown recall. The failure mileage was approximately 133,000.
A few months back I took my car in to have the airbag recall fixed. Flash forward a few months and the airbag light has come on. If somebody sits in the passenger seat the light goes off. The Nissan dealer is saying the OCS sensor sometimes go bad and quotes $400-$1500 to fix the problem. The car has never been in an accident and is kept clean so there is no chance that an item effected the OCS sensor under the seat when the seat was moved. But the more I researched the issue the more suspicious this seems. How do so many people have the same problem...and how mamy others have the same problem but cant or dont know how to report it.
Hi, I am an owner of a Nissan Altima 2013 S vehicle. Recently I noticed that airbag light came on and I took it to the dealership. Dealership diagnosed with B0028-13 and said it was a past code and cleared the code. It came back on again while I was driving after a month. I again diagnosed and the same code and showing a past code. Dealer couldn't identify the problem and said it needs to replace the whole seat, which will cost 1800 dollars. They said the airbag control module for the passenger side needs to be changed. And I noticed one thing, after code is getting cleared, the airbag warning light doesn't come all of a suddenly, although it has some problem with passenger occupancy too, as sometime even if an adult sit in the front passenger seat, passenger airbag stays off. Which is very risky while driving. Nissan has no answer to that. And right after that, airbag warning light comes back. I am a student and don't have that much of money to get this costly repair ( seat replacement) done and is a big safety issue. Please help me in this matter.
Head lights are so fun looks as if they are not on, airbag light is constantly on even with passenger in seat, both air bag lights on dask and in console. Doesn't matter if car is in motion or not completely dangerous
The red airbag warning light on dashboards is solid lit without a adult passenger on passenger seat. The light goes off when there is a adult passenger on the passenger seat
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the low-beam headlights failed to produce adequate lighting. The air bag warning light was illuminated. The contact called deacon jones Nissan (3305 mclain St, goldsboro, nc 27534, (919)734-2411). The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 116,000.
The airbag light for the passenger side stays on which means the airbag on the passenger side will not deploy because it's not detecting any weight. Even when someone sits in it it doesn't detect weight. The tires are constantly losing air.
The airbag sign came (code B0028) on at 110000 miles although I haven't been on any accidents for last 12000 miles. When I checked with dealers, they said airbag control module is malfunctioning and need to replace that with right side passenger airbag wires and might cost 2000 or more dollars. I am an international student and it's hard for me to arrange that much money. Please help me, as I have come to know that this is a common problem in Nissan vehicles. The airbag sign comes back after clearing the code if someone sits in the passenger side. Thank you for reading my request.
Airbag sign came on at millage 112000 all of a sudden and the passenger occupancy sensor turn off and on intermittently while vehicle is in motion. Mechanic are recommending to replace airbag module which might cost couple of thousand dollars. Please help me! the diagnostic code says B0028-13
Airbag light will not go off, it stays on solid red. I contacted Nissan and was informed 2013 Altima does not fall under the recall for the airbag issue.
Noticed that the airbag indicator light has been staying on no matter if someone is in the passenger seat or not. Going to have it checked out by the dealership who may charge me to run a diagnostic test.
Driving our vehicle per usual, no crashes, safely made it from point a to B. the next morning, the sensor for air bags comes on. It continues to stay there with no explanation from google other than the sensor being an issue.
Front passenger airbag OCS defect. Nissan has done a recall related to this issue but my vehicle VIN number is experiencing this issue but not coming up in the dealership system for the recall. Campaign #14V138000
The air bag light activated and the engine RPM dropped while driving. The engine accelerator lost power, then picked up speed after pushing on the accelerator.
Airbag light came on on the dashboard and is staying on. When an adult passengare sits in the passenger seat, the passenger airbag light does not turn off. This happened about a month ago. I have read several recalls for airbag sensor issue but my car is not listed. Dealership is tells me that there is no recall for the issue and that I have to pay to have it diagnosed and fixed. Car currently cannot pass stated inspection due to this.
