We have a customer who is leasing this vehicle from us. There was a hood latch recall that was performed in May 2017. The hood latch still will not open. The customer cannot drive it. I went to orr Nissan in hot springs, ar and they said this recall is not warrantied. We have tried to diagnose opening the hood latch, but are having no such luck to assist this customer. The customer does not want to spend any additional money at this point. Is there anything that you can do to help to honor and warranty this recall that was already performed?
Changing gear shifter is getting lock after putting the gear in park. It started with every once in a while getting stuck. Now it never changes without having to stick a screwdriver to release the lock.

After leasing the car for about 4 months, the car developed an issue at 83,000 mile mark. When attempting to turn left or right from standstill the car stalls. I would press down the gas pedal all the way down and the car would not move or accelerate until 6 seconds or so later. Sometimes the car doesn't move at all until I move the steering wheel back and forth. From this I can infer it has to do with the power steering or something electrical. It only happens when the steering wheel is turned halfway or more at a stop. Kinda like a power outage at that since all the lights dim and sometimes even the HVAC fan speed goes down while while the car is unable to move. This is extremely dangerous as I was trying to make a left turn while there was a pause in opposite traffic and the car just rolled a little and stopped since I depressed the brake pedal while accelerator pedal did absolutely nothing until I straightened the steering wheel. After my car rolled out into oncoming traffic I could of easily gotten in a crash if the oncoming cars didn't slow down for me. This happens pretty randomly but only when trying to turn from a stop. I can't any longer trust the car as its pretty dangerous especially when trying to merge with fast moving traffic.
2013 Nissan Altima 2.5S shuts off electrical while driving key dont work (1 out of 2 keys dont work) door handles are broken both driver and passenger A/C compressor doesnt work
Gear shift keep getting stuck when you put in park when trying to put in revearse or drive it won't move it doesn't happen all the time just some times.
I purchased my 2013 Nissan approximately four months ago as a replacement car for the Nissan Altima that was totalled in a car accident. Living in extremely hot weather (in the 100S), it is imperative that the air conditioning (ac) works and works well. I often travel with my 85 year old mother and to have the ac blow hot air while stuck in traffic for almost two hours was something both unacceptable and embarrassing. This problem began almost immediately after I drove it off the lot from carmax in pleasanton, ca. It blows hot air almost consistently while driving, regardless of speed. While researching, I found that there are thousands of people with the same problem and I am also hearing that, depending on their mood, Nissan will cover the exuberant $1500 to replace the compressor...not many have been successful. I took it to my mechanic and per the salesperson at carmax, he recommended that the ac needed to be recharged. They did so, but the problem still persists. I am surprised with the number of complaints that hey have not issued a recall for this. This is a safety hazard, as it is just as bad as leaving a child in a car for hours! we were stuck in traffic for almost two hours and were drenched with sweat once we finally arrived home. Had she passed out due to heat exhaustion, I'm not sure what I would have done because we were at a stand-still at one point. It was a horrible experience. I would like for Nissan to fix this problem with my car at no cost to me as this is clearly a recall!
My 2013 Nissan Altima is the worst car I have ever owned. Since I have purchased it, there has been a constant engine noise until I reach about 40 mph. Just in the past 3 months, within weeks of each other both front inside door handles have broke (my kids and I have to roll down both windows just to get out of the car which would be a huge safety issue in the event of a fire, crash or being trapped in the car at all), the dome lights through the inside of the car have stopped working (which is a safety issue because there is no way to see inside my vehicle at night), the light in the driver's side door panel fell out, the ac has gone out (and the compressor part is $425!!!! are you serious"!?!"! I have a 10.5 month old and it is 100 degrees outside!!! another huge safety issue) and now there is another noise coming from the engine at all speeds, a grinding noise. I am a single mom of three kids who I support on my own. I cannot afford to fix these things. I bought this car because it was supposed to be "reliable". and it is not! there have been so many complaints regarding all of the same things that I am experiencing and a recall needs to be done on all of them. This car is barely 4 years old and these problems should not be happening!!!! do something Nissan! you are losing customers and reputation is on the line!
The cvt transmission on my 2013 Altima went out. I purchased this car brand new and completed required maintenance. The transmission went out after less than 4 years and at 70K miles. It seems that thousands of consumers have had the same issue. The car will shutter, jerk, and shut off when you are stopped/idle. The car also shutters when accelerating and does not have much power. This was an extreme safe hazard when I was driving on the highway. The car is not shifting gears properly/transmission broke. Nissan had an issue with the cvt transmission for model years 2006-2010 and offered an extended warranty for those years. Nissan should reimburse and/or offer warranty extension for 2011+ models as well.
Takata recal: I have a 2013 nissian Altima and when I push the gas pedal it doesn't accelerate like it supposed to. For an exapmle when I push the gas pedal all the way to the floor it doesn't do anything. This happens about two or three times when I'm driving in a 20minute span. Also, when I turn off my car (it has a push start) my break lights are on. When I turn it off I don't have to push the break and push the start button. (the car thinks I'm stepping on the break).
Driver side door quit working, noticed when I shut the car off ready to get out and not able to... not a happy person ! considering I am still paying on
